OUR TOUR BEGINS:
Ryan Woodworks Pty Ltd is located at 42 McIntosh St, Airport West. Our tour begins outside our factory.
In 1999 a building of 13,000s/f on 24,500s/f of land was purchased in Airport West due to continuing growth. Our factory and showroom are located on this site.
| Ryan Woodworks is the home of the largest turned balusters and handrails in Victoria, come and see them on display at our factory. The Balusters are over 4m high and the rails themselves are over 150mm wide. |
SHOWROOM: As we continue the tour, we will now pass through the showroom. Our showroom contains samples of our wide range of products on offer. Upon entering the showroom you will be greeted by our staff and assisted with any queries you may have. |
FACTORY FLOOR:
As we pass through the showroom onto the factory floor, we come across a number of products in the production process. Firstly, we shall look at some fluted hardwood columns in the production process.
The columns are hollow and produced in sections before being joined together for the finished product.
As we move on from the fluted hardwood columns, we find ourselves watching a custom order being produced as per the customer's specifications. |
With our faithful attention to quality and detail, the custom matched gate finished up looking perfect. |
| We continue on and find one of our staff adding the finishing touches to a length of custom matched internal fretwork. |
As we move on throughout the factory, we find our skilled staff operating a number of different machines that are used throughout the production stage
The timber is dressed and then checked. |
The timber is then docked to size. |
The timber can then be glued and clamped before being manufactured into customer orders.
With some timber legs cut into different shapes and designs throughout the different stages of the production process. |
LOSP pine is docked to length for verandah posts before being loaded onto automatic lathes for turning. |
After the timber has been turned, the turnings are then sanded in large quantities on one of our many automated machines |
After the many processes involved in the production stage, the products are produced. Products such as balusters are stacked on pallets when ordered in large quantities.
