History

1988
Established in 1988 in the back yard of Paul and Jenny Ryan primarily as a custom woodturning business, that has grown over the years to be a very successful small business. The company has developed its client base over the years to include not only builders and home renovators, but timber yards, furniture manufacturers and staircase builders.

1990
In 1990 the business was growing and Paul and Jenny Ryan relocated the small woodturning business from the back yard shed to a small factory in McIntosh St, Airport West.

1993
In 1993, Paul Ryan's small woodturning business officially began trading under the name Ryan Woodworks Pty Ltd. Ryan Woodworks Pty Ltd has continued to build a name for themselves within the industry as suppliers of quality products at competitive prices.

Ryan Woodworks relocated to Hood St, Airport West due to the requirement of larger premises as the business continued to grow.

1994
A major turning point for the company was in 1994 when their first Rotary Knife Lathe was purchased so the company could produce turned furniture components in volume as well as architectural turnings in volume.

1995
Ryan Woodworks first factories were purchased in 1995, factory 1 and 2 of 12 Hood St, Airport. Located directly behind Mighty Muirs – The Good Guys .

1998

2001 The biggest turning point for the company took place in 1998 with the purchase of more new equipment and tooling. This major upgrade and move to automating many of our labour intensive jobs, has reduced our turn around time dramatically in many areas, as well as keeping costs down.

These major purchases of equipment during 1998 and 2001, along with the modification of existing equipment will be instrumental in the future growth of the company.

1999
In 1999 a building of 13,000s/f on 24,500s/f of land was purchased in Airport West due to the continuing growth of the business and requirement for more space. The factory and showroom are located at 42 McIntosh St, Airport West.
